Give us specifics. Was the fish you ate too soggy? Tell us about it. Was Thingvellir breathtakingly beautiful, or did it rain? Did your trip around the Ring Road leave you flat broke, or inspired to write a novel? What’s On wants to know if you meet that someone special on your pub crawl, or did you just wake up with a deep hangover. What ever. Tell us about it.

Our trip to Iceland
My wife and I just finished our best ever trip to Iceland—my third and her second.  Twelve days of camping and hiking...

We started in Hornstrandir and survived a tremendous storm the night of August 4th.  Wind from the northeast—what a tent-shaker!!!!  Then we worked our way by car down the WestFjords to Snaefellsnes, in ever-improving weather.  We finally squeezed in a long day and saw Geysir and Gullfoss.

We want to thank the people of Iceland for making their wonderful country so accessible to us Americans.  We especially want to thank everyone who spoke such excellent English!

We are sorry for your current economic troubles, but we are certain that your strong spirit will see you through to better days.

Thank you so much!

Sheldon Bluestein and Mary Hamerly
