It is not always easy to tell which establishment is a bar, a café a disco or a nightclub. Many serve more than one function, and some may in fact serve all four. It is common to find concerts, or a least a band playing, at a bar or café. Many cafés change into bars at night. To add to the confusion you can eat at cafés, sometime one might call them restaurants rather than bars. So don't take our classification too literally. The main thing is that you get to eat, drink and have some fun! Here is a list of the most popular places in Reykjavík.
