Iceland Airwaves ’16 is coming up and we’re so excited! WE, of course, recommend you get a ticket to the festival but if you can’t for some reason or the other, don’t fret! If you’re in Reykjavík during the festival, you’re going to have your chance to hear some of the great music that fills the city at the Iceland Airwaves ’16 Off-Venue schedule!
When I say that music fills the city, I mean it. The off-venue shows aren’t limited to bars and cafés with stages – they’re everywhere! Whether you’re out buying records, going to a museum, going to the library, or simply getting a hot dog, you’ll encounter live music!
I encourage you to take a look around, you’ll most likely have a happy surprise, maybe even discover a new favourite artist. If you prefer to plan ahead, we’ve gathered a list of the places with the best off-venue programme. Most of the Off-Venue programs last until the official shows start but there are still a few places that offer live concerts well into the night.
All off-venue shows are free!
