This Thursday it is June 17, the Icelandic National Day, during which Icelandic independence is celebrated. If you’re in town on June 17 and feel like engaging in some Iceland appreciation, there are a few things you might want to know.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be small scale celebrations this year, but there are some fun events happening around town!

DJ Dóra Júlía takes care of the music at Klambratún park and DJ DE LA ROSA will be on stage in Hljómskálagarður park. In both parks, guests can enjoy a food market and watch circus artists perform.
For those who intend to venture downtown, there will be a programme in the city centre from 13:00 to 18:00. Circus artists, choirs, dancers, musicians, and art groups perform around the city centre to create unexpected experiences.
