Reykjavik Culture Night, which took place last Saturday, is an annual event, marking the start to the city’s cultural year. He are a few snapshots from the festival, taken by photographer Páll Stefánsson.

The Reykjavík Marathon has been around since 1996 and kicks off the Culture Night every year. After 14.000 people finish their run in the streets of Reykjavik, the art, culture, and music take over.

The night ended with a firework show behind Harpa concert hall where almost half of Iceland’s population enjoyed the colourful display.
