Icelandic national beard and moustache competition
Icelandic national beard and moustache competition will be held 28th of march, at Gaukurinn, Tryggvagata 22, Reykjavik, its open to all competitors, The event is taking place in Reykjavík, but all nationalities are welcome to compete.
Doors and registration is at 7pm and the competition starts at 9pm
Price for competitors and spectators is 1.500 kr
A moustache is composed of facial hair above the upper lip. At international contests, it is agreed that moustache hairs can start growing from up to a maximum of 1.5 cm beyond the end of the upper lip.
A full beard consists of hair on the upper and lower lip, the chin, the cheeks, and the sideburns, without any natural or shaven gap. Lengths are measured from the bottom of the lower lip.
A partial beard is any facial hair that is neither a full beard nor a moustache
These categorie is open to anyone who wants to participate. They are artificial and imaginative creations meant to resemble facial hair of any category, either literally or abstractly.
All creations must be attached to the head only (skull and/or jaw, not the neck) & hang hands-free. Each should maintain the shape of the facial hair style being represented.
