Icelandic nature in close up and vivid colours
Áskell Þórisson, former editor and journalist, shows photographs in Gallery Grásteinn, Skólavörðustígur 4, in Reykjavík from July 23 to August 3. The exhibition is open everyday from 11 to 18. For years Áskell has focused on naturalistic images of things that most of us consider to be of little or no interest. He takes photos in nature and then uses a processing program to create photos that different and unique. The photos in the exhibition come in various sizes. They are printed on canvas and stretched on a blind frame. The pictures are all for sale at moderate prices.
