August is a great month to visit Iceland. It’s one of the sunniest months and nature is in full bloom. Plus, there are plenty of cool events going on. Here are some ideas on how to spend this August in Iceland.
While you’re checking things off the list, we encourage you to take photos, and tag them with #whatsonrvk, of course!
Embrace the colours of the rainbow during Reykjavík Pride!
Head out of town and experience Iceland’s powerful waterfalls from up close.
Visit at least three different swimming pools.
Get a hot dog at Bæjarins Beztu (The Town’s Best). Order one with everything!
Visit an active volcano site on Reykjanes peninsula.
See puffins before they leave!
Visit the Settlement Exhibition and look at Viking ruins.
Go sunbathing at Nauthólsvík beach in Reykjavík.
