The What’s On November 2021 Checklist

November is a great month to visit Iceland. Winter has started, it’s warm and cosy inside, and the northern lights are in full swing! Plus, there are plenty of cool events going on. Here are some ideas on how to spend this November in Iceland.

While you’re checking things off the list, we encourage you to take photos, and tag them with #whatsonrvk, of course!

1 Discover Icelandic art at the Reykjavík Art Museum or the National Gallery!

2 Buy freshly baked Icelandic pastries at a bakery. Enjoy!

3 Go to a bar and try an Icelandic Christmas beer.

4 Warm up in a hot tub under a starry sky in one of Reykjavík’s many swimming pools. 

5 Hike to the eruption site and see Iceland’s newest lava field!

6 Dress warmly and go northern lights hunting. Book your northern lights tour here!

7 Go see a show at Harpa Concert Hall.

8 Buy some Icelandic books and read Icelandic literature!
