World Economic Forum: “Iceland is totally #1 You Guys!!”

By the Old Harbour in Reykjavik

Okay, maybe we’re slightly paraphrasing the WEF, but Iceland is basically the country with the smallest gender gap in the world this year again, according to the recently published Global Gender Gap Report for 2014, from the World Economic Forum.

More importantly, though, is that overall gender equality in the world is increasing in a sweeping change, with increased access to politics and the workforce translating in 105 countries becoming more equal in the last ten years, the WEF reports. Good news all around!
